The templates thing has been moved in to the droid design tool in-game. Design your droid in usual way, then you can click the save button in the 3.1 branch direct within the designer and it will be added as a template and become available as soon as you've researched it's components.

As for the drawing tool, looks utterly useless so I'm not surprised it was removed.

I forgot to check all of them but I think it was team play and I don't recall the other ones but the next time I try it I will check

the third one was human vs. computer, first one either teams or alliances, middle one either alliances or FFA .. from *vague* memory

That was my assumption, but with the "Alliances" mode below it I'm a bit confused.

I think that's why the screen was changed heh, to make it less confusing :)

Yeah, I think it was basically the same as we have now, just differently organized.

They were "campaign" (not to be confused with the other campaign - this is skirmish with scavengers), skirmish (no scavengers) and free-for-all. Not necessarily in that order. There were also pieces of code for a 'deathmatch' mode that never got fully implemented. This all made little sense, so I replaced these buttons with a scavenger on/off button instead.

Thank god you did replace those buttons, I found the old UI horribly confusing!

Any idea what deathmatch was supposed to be?

DeathMatch mode could be interesting if done as for example using driving mode (normal ones could be good to, but with different rules) and respawning. :-)

That would be good candidate to use scripting, when and if it would be capable of registering game modes and alter gameplay.

Well, I've now embarked on my next (or should I say yet another additional...) project: https://warzone.atlassian.net/wiki/disp ... ponderance

Would be keen to see your ideas aobut WP filters, etc., on a page in that space btw ;)

aubergine, sure, I'll add that when I'll find some free time (that factory thing has biggest priority for today ;-)).

Force editor was removed, cause no one really used it. Force editor has been used for makeing units from start in "Advanced base mode" only, to give you a custom units for rush tactics I suppose

Campaign, skirmish(not sure about the name for this one, but it was the standard mode iirc) and team-play(if this is actually 'free-for-all', was there a 'team-play' button, I'm sure there was) I think.
Campaign seemed to be the only way to have scavengers spawn on the map, skirmish was pretty much the default and despite playing multiplayer a few times back then, the team-play option always seemed to be greyed out for some reason.

Terminator sounds correct about the force editor.
