Like the new model, but prefer the old textures. New textures look too, well, new, like the building has only been abandoned a few years rather than seen a nuclear holocaust and hasn't been used in decades.

Try adding some more dirt, grime, etc. Unless your trying for new :P

Yep, exactly, especially roof needs improvements.

I added a crappy to it!! Trying to add old is somewhat hard but here is another go ..I want to try and keep some resolution so you can actualy see detail not just a blur like old textures also this screen shot is not so zoomed in it makes a lot of difference to what you see. I think after it is crushed it will look even closer to old style as dropping the size and mode to indexed will mess the texture a bit more.

I liked that red colour the gas station had...
But the new model & the roof are much better :)

Better, but those holes in the roof seems to be too similar to each other...
Maybe one could be a bit bigger and construction beneath it could have some losses in bars?

And I agree that old ones are blurry, the difference is especially visible with new skyscrapers textures. :-)

Does the roof need holes? Surely the scavs would patch things up with metal or plastic sheets, bits of wood or anything else they could find? So maybe just one hole and the rest patched up?

Nice job Berg. :D

I had a thought: perhaps the size needs to be bumped up by 25% or so. I can't imagine things like the School Bus and Fire Engine coming out of something *quite* that small.

Just a thought, buddy. :)

Goth Zagog-Thou, you mean resize, not simply rescale of course? :-)
Yeah, their "factories" could be bigger, but backwards compatibility could be an issue (models could overlap if placed side by side)...
Unless we would introduce new model for new maps, or use old one for "source" of soldiers only (but only for new maps).

The topic of scaling has been visited a few times on the forum over the years.
I think if you want to change scale you need to add new models not change the scale of the old ones that way you stay backward compatable with maps. Yes if you up scale original then maps will look crap as buildings will overlap..
So new maps and models have to be phased in.

I still think that roof needs some more texture on it :s The building design is great, and certainly a better model than the old one, but it looks too clean and undamaged.

Because it isn't abandoned. If you were whit the scavengers after an apoacalypse, would you fix the gas station if you want to make cars there?
