Hi there, I couldn't find the info via search, what is the license of the game content (sounds,graphics,models,units,missions,maps,etc,etc)?

Ist the game GPL'ed or is only the engine?

All of Warzone 2100 as provided by our downloads and Subversion repository is licensed under the conditions of the GNU General Public License version 2 (at your option you can use a newer version e.g. 3).

The only thing that isn't free to use (i.e. we don't have any license for redistributions) are the videos/cutscenes.

I thought that you have no option regarding which GPL version you use, since the license provides provisions to automatically upgrade to newer versions when they are released.

No they dont "upgrade automatically". You can license your work under "GPL-2 or higher" and leave it to the licensee to choose a newer version if he so desires.
