Cheat mode: Skirmish AI restart?

I notice when I go into a AI team's using cheats when playing multiplayer skirmish, when I exit after doing what I wanted done, i sits dormant. No matter what I do it just sits there, doing nothing. It is very hard for me to set up the epic canyon defense and try to break it if the AI wont work for me. Is there a way to restart the AI for an AI team u controlled temporaily? Much cookies if u would help me
