I heard that they have released the source code for WZ2100 and that you can now download the game and play it for free. If it is true that I can download and play the game for free where exactly do I download it and how big is the download?

This is the 2.0.7 build of the warzone resurrection project. It includes the full game minus the FMV's and original soundtrack. Those were not released with the source and can therefore not be distriduted freely.
