I play Secret Maryo Chronicles, http://www.secretmaryo.org/
Secret Maryo Chronicles is an Open Source two-dimensional platform game with a design similar to classic computer games.

The only DOS game I've really ever played is Star Wars: Dark Forces, and it doesn't have any multiplayer support. :(

E-102 Gamma: Lol it's no DOS game, it's much much much newer. There was no 3d acceleration for DOS ever.
Also, i might be wrong, but this game had some multiplayer after all (even though it's long dead).

Sure there was 3D in DOS, some games had special 3Dfx/Glide patches, and I think there were a few other cards as well (like the infamous S3 3D-decelerators).

Really? I didn't know
Anyway, the game in question is a 100% regular windows game. Runs well in VirtualBox, by the way.

Its main menu has a button that says "Exit to DOS".

System Shock? Castle Wolfenstein?! DOOM?!? AFAIK, these are all 3D DOS games. :hmm:

It most definitely does not. I can recall reading that it doesn't.

Also note that the game's Steam page only mentions "Single-player" (at about the middle of the page; right under the ESRB rating). If it really had Multi-player as well as Single-player, it would say so.

Hmm, sounds as if i mixed it up with Dark Forces II. Now i'm impressed o.O
Sorry for the trouble.

I don't think DOOM uses 3d acceleration; not sure about the others. I think i have to start giving prooflinks, since i'm starting to feel more and more incompetent.

He's from the SEGA Dreamcast game Sonic Adventure. :lecture:

It's an alias I adopted when I got my E-mail address.

Yes, you could easily be thinking of SW:DFII. It is a 3D accelerated Windows game.

And there was no trouble. You just got a bit confused.

Those all use pure software rendering though.

Alright.

I don't really understand 3D acceleration. :P
