Well my ahilles heel probably is that i use hoovers very often, you for example use tracks, all use all kinds, even wheels i do believe ;)

The button for cyborgs is essential..

We should be free to select particular unit within second.. without thinking what to do not to mess them..

I don't exclusively use tracks, it depends on the map type, but I do heavily favor them when there are only a few chokepoints to defend (or attack), or when I have an adequate defensive wall (on NTW maps).

If it is a larger, relatively "open" low oil map, I will use hovers to attack wherever the enemy army is not.

Hovers just don't fare well in a MG battle, and thats mostly what is seen on NTW/squared, and since i can't host, that is what I am stuck with most of the time.

I don't think I'd use tracks on "manhattan" or the pit.

The problem with hovers, is they can't stand up to tracked units.
The problem with tracked units, is they can't catch hovers.
Chokepoints can negate the hover advantage (except as reenforcements to keep up momentum, I might mass tracked units, and switch production to hovers after the attack begins, so that my re-enforcements can actually get there in time to make a difference.
Since I also use hover trucks, this makes managing my ground combat units even more difficult, so some times I use only tracked just for the hot key convenience (depends on how much I have going on)


Now in low oil, i've had situations where the enemy had hovers before I had any, and went oil raiding- I didn't have much defenses, as my army had previously responded when needed- when it is no longer able to timely respond (even worse with water on the map), I'm left with no choice but to go straight for the enemy base with my tracked units (and keep newly built tracked units at my base anticipating the hovers B-lining to my base as well).
Ussually, it has worked for me- I take out the enemies base, and save mine, or at least inflict heavy casualties on the hovers- resulting in no one having a base, but me having an army that will win in a fight.

The enemy hovers return to defend their base, and my tracked units tear them up, and take out the base.

If I use all hovers, I have to worry about an all tracked force attacking my base- My army wont stop it, and on low oil, one ussually cant afford adequate defenses.
If I use all tracked, I'm too slow to raid undefended/lightly defended enemy oil, and get away, so normally on low oil I use just a few hovers for oil attack, that retreat back to the tracked units that form the nucleus of my ground forces.

If the enemy has an all hover force, and you have all tracks, you should be on the offensive, otherwise those hovers will run amok.
(they still might, but then your tracked units can run amok too, and you are just left with two armies, one that can easily beat the other)

I was told that you have played Warzone for many years, since the PSX version, and it is crealy visible in your posts :)

As the experienced man, dont you think shortcut for cyborgs is badly needed ??

I to select all cyborgs, but only of one kind.. use ctrl Z after pointing one, but what if one have mixed cyborg forces..

ctrl-a doesn't work so well when I want to keep my VTOLs separate.
If I'm not using cyborgs, I can use ctrl-T, as I often switch almost exclusively to tracks for combat units (though if I have left over combat half tracks, they can get mixed in with half track trucks I like to use close to the front line, and hover ground units would often include trucks as well).

Right now, I use ctrl-A, followed by ctrl-v, to cancel the order for my vtols.

Well :) to who shall we turn with this matter ?? HAve already noticed our I think quite good suggestion ??

Inability to call cyborgs and separate all grounds units without vtols seem to be essential :)

Let me ask again..

No shortcut for cyborgs ??..

Anyone here use shortcuts.. ?? or all surprised that others move faster, regroup, attach, divide units, react.. and if see good action call everyone "noob".. ?? If yes I use this post to turn your attention, of those who do not use shortcuts, that there are shortcuts..

but not for cyborgs as an entire group..

Doesn't sound like a bad idea, though since they've already released version 2.3.8, it might take them a while (a few months?) to implement your request (along with any other planned improvements).

I think it is really good idea :) I have mentioned it long time ago, it would improve the commands greatly.. but somehow it does not have a lot of fans..
