Oh man ... They'll close warzone if any illegal content would be avaliable on this site.

I've seen some explanation on this somewhere around there.

It's not the same case, so i'd wait to see what the admins say.

Xenon, would there be any way to mod this to work as a .wz file? Just as a question.

That graphics really look awesome! I'd like to see them implemented as a mod for 2.3 or for v3 =3

One of the most revolting issues in the game-modding world: The Copyright Issues

I'm fell proud to mod a open-source game (GPL) like Warzone 2100 without have to worry about copyright, without having to track down people for permission if i want to use their content and have the right to credit people with their GPL material without have to ask their authorization.

What the world would be without licensing or copyrighting?

Oh, and before someone asks: NO! i'm not encouraging people to break the copyright law, that's just my humble opinion about that. Feel free to comment.

It's not quite so worrying. I was talking about if we took a major renderer like UT3 which is known to be proprietary, and included it or its output with the game.

Redistributing a freely available mod on the website, on the other hand, isn't gonna get us shut down. :P It's not even worth closing the topic for.

It doesn't need to be GPL if it's not based on GPLed works, just legally (re)distributable (though GPL/CC-by-sa or more free would enable us to include it without problems if we'd want to). But since X2 is commercial (and still sold even), I've removed the link. We can't really afford any legal trouble.

The license is decided by the creator of a work, so you have to contact those if it's not your own.

Complain to your legislators, not to us. We don't write the laws.

And (assuming you live in a country with elections) don't give votes to people who won't act in your interest (not voting means "I don't care, let the idiots rule" - don't complain then).

That's really bad the mod died so sooner :( At least i downloaded it within time before gets "killed"

Hey Xenon, i just realised that your Super Cyborg models uses the standart textures of the Warzone 2100 (Not the ones from X2 The Threat) which avoids these damned copyright issues.

Would you like these Super Cyborgs models to be used in the Warzone 2120 (A Total Conversion Mod) that i'm working on?

I'm waiting for the answer :)

Regards BP

I think it has not. Because I want to change the texture of x2 on mine or those that already have the game
