Hmm for comparison... Maybe I should make the middle post a tad bigger :? Image

kk, here is the new corner model with bigger middle post.
@Olrox The corner has 140 polys and the wall has 91.

Just an idea... we have fortresses (double thick hardpoints) why not have double thick/high walls to go with them (perhaps after supercrete?) and have the fortreses use what looks like a single big wall corner instead of 4 small wall corners? Again just an idea.

Interesting.
Probably we could have bigger variety of passive defenses (there was / is some unused tank traps like things?).

thanks emdek. I'm thinking about a gate for it now. Would your gate model work with it Olrox (I might have to modify the width of the top ramp thingy to fit the width of my wall) Image

Maybe gate could be taller and in case of normal wall bottom part could go underground?
Or it's moved in way that it can't be done like that?
Or maybe gate should be always taller (so for all units could go under without penetrating top part)?

I don't think you can make it go under something unless you drive it manually because of the code it just goes around. Not fully sure of this though.

Hmm, maybe, but those textures aren't that good :hmm:
(Yeah, I know they're mine, that's the point: those are the first textures I've made for a model :ninja: )
I've got to search around for the models and yet have to install my softwares here. Crap, looks like everything around me, with the exception of college, is freezed O_o

Hmm, I wonder if the poly counts aren't a tad unnecessarily high :hmm:

Double wall :) (yes it is twice as big and a little wider) 41 pollys

Hmm, now the poly count sounds more like it. I've made this wall model some time ago, which has 60 polys and looks very similar to your regular wall model (but distorted):

I wonder if you've used polys that go into the wall rather than duplicate ones on both sides - that saves a lot of polys.

Is it just me or does the double wall look too high? Maybe it should be 2X length and width but 1.5X the height?

Yes.
