I will need skybox textures I have temp textures in that look reasonable but not happy with them.
Also we have 3 skybox texturing with 3 textures per box one for Arizona, one for urban and one for rockies all needing new textures.
I hope to get a windows build with all the new code in for folks to play with as yet not done.
If you want to compile with windows the models repo and Exp repo have devpkg and solution for 2008 visual studio or what ever its called included.
NOTE: I forgot to add the appollo footprint on the moon so don't get too worried its on todo list.
Also have to mention a new vid capture tool that saves frames to new folder it is still testing but it is in the repo's above mentioned and the latest vid avi where made with that capture code. (see new movie-tools folder for readme instructions)
Always remember this info is experimental we try to stay in sync with trunk as much as possible excluding the experiment code we do. This project is to see what can be done with the graphics.

That wasn't me, lately it has been SonOfBerg modifying the code for Berg.
Hence:

I see. I didn't make that apparently transparent correlation. Clarifies some other uncertainties I entertained as well. Thanks. Always appreciate illuminating facts.

Animation is working great on my low spec machine, but I encountered one problem, or maybe it isn't a problem at all

. My build shows some clouds, but not the Moon, instead I got something that looks like a giant menu, have a look below. Any suggestions on how I can fix this and get the cool background that you demoed earlier?
EDIT: My build version
Warzone 2100 - Version tcmask/branches/berg-models r229 (modified locally) - Built Jul 24 2010 - DEBUG

Thanks, can see the Moon & Stars background perfectly well now. Still wondering what the cloud parameters depend on. How do I get clouds that look like what you showed us earlier?
I'm quite impressed that animations work very well on my low-end machine. All the graphics settings were on high settings, except for shadows which were off. But even then I'm sure they would work well.

A pleasant surprise were the camouflages on the Wheels, spectacular, IMHO. And I could see the wheels having a rotation effect as well. Simply splendid!

The skybox uses texture pages 300-302, no code change is needed to change the look of the skys.

There are three cloud types to go with the three default tile sets to get bottom right you have to be on a map that uses rockies tile set try the 4 play map mountain
Don't forget to update your game branch as new updates happen most every day
