There is the alpha1 version for download here:
http://artrev2100.sourceforge.net/download.html
Anyway, I am planning to do a snapshot release in a few days, containing all the stuff I've made so far. Currently tweaking stuff and fixing bugs etc... I'll probably also try to get the light halftracks done and integrated before the release. That way, all the propulsions of alpha campaign will be redone.

Did you changed the size of the bodies ?

The bodies are older assets made by mangust and olrox, so I don't know exact dimensions, but they should be roughly the same as the originals

The bodies look smaller because they are detailed, it's something like an optical illusion. I spent a lot of time to understand this and to fix this. In a 3d editor from side views they look fine but in game they look a bit smaller. The height dimensions(top and bottom) are the same but sides are not. That is why the earlier version of viper was thin and last one is thick.
Just compare:

Lowpoly bake. Not that much detail, but it's fairly small so I think it'll do.

For me that is enough detail so it maybe could be enough in case if someone would like to animate wheels rotation.

So, that's still a lot of stuff.
And I still can't wait
BTW: when the cam 1 stuff is done will it be included in the base game?

Deviating a bit from the todo-list, I suddenly got inspired to do the twin assault cannon, although now I'm stuck on the turret. What are those "wings" really supposed to be?

All those shell casings need to be spat out somewhere, maybe they are like exhaust pipes for shell casings?

Blow out ammo storage (since ammo does have that tendency to explode in ways one might not want when hit by incoming rounds).

its that really assault cannon ? for me more like a Whirlwind AA Turret.

Definitely Assault cannon, the Whirlwind turret is much higher in relation to the barrels.
The blocks projecting to either side should be ammo containers, I agree with that. Maybe interchangeable or with lids for fast reloading. But at this stage, the turret lacks some kind of ejector for cycled shells. On a single-barrel automatic cannon you would expect it opposite from the ammo container, but this is not possible with this twin barrel model. Maybe it ejects the cases from two openings in the top of the turret and they fly off to the right and left in steep arcs.
