@Lord apocalypse: Yes, texture memory is generally more limited than polycount, but when it comes to hipoly, 200k is actually not even that high, and believe me, if you have more than a few of them on the screen at once, the framerate will quickly drop below acceptable levels even with minimal shading.
@NoQ: didn't realize how big the difference was.. maybe I should make them slightly smaller?

Probably. But the variety is still cool, so maybe they could still be a bit larger? (:

Jorzi, your models are very good and great quality.

But I think that its an overkill and too much detail compared that we cant zoom it to see that much detail...
Also I think you add more detail that not needed... The great exsample is Scanvenger infrantry...

Thanks
I try to not put excessively much time on the details, but at least I try to use the whole texture resolution.
Larger details are most important of course, but the models are also more versatile if I make a bit of extra detail. For example they can be used as background props in cutscenes.

Jorzi... If you want make for cutscenes then make a more detailed model, we shouldt use low-poly models and there should be diversity betwen scanvenger infrantry, also make corpses and limbs and vehicle wrecks for cutscenes...

But before you guys decide to make cutscenes, you should make models and try to modifiy and that hopefully the wz2100 devs will make more mission for the campaing... I had a felling that campaing was rather short...

Of course the cutscenes will need other stuff too ;)
That's why I said background props, i.e. stuff that is not viewed in closeups.

Out of respect for the original game designers, the original campaigns will probably not be changed, but Goth Zagog-Thou is currently working on a sequel campaign.

Why not change something, i am sure that Warzone 2100 developers would add more storyline and more cutscenes and indepth stuff... Cant you find some of original devs of Warzone 2100... Pumpkin studio?

Many people wouldn't like it if we made changes just like that. The original campaign is a classic, it deserves its place as it is.

iamaloner, small updates might be good idea (or even required, like AFAIR once some weapons were removed but were already used in campaign), mostly to take advantage of new features (I really would like to see real bridges instead of those weird strips of land or some better texture for dam) or engine changes (well, Nexus AI is going to be rewritten eventually to JS, I think), but nothing ground breaking.
And as it was discussed elsewhere then classic version should be still available in some form (like an addon), but that discussion is kind of off topic here. ;-)

Almost finished :)
Most updates on the rear part.
I was experimenting with a simple reflection map and thought it looked cool so I left it there ;)

Jorzi, nice. :-)
Could you please attach view from top? With this angle wings seems to be very small.

Thanks, I think that it is good enough, bigger would probably look weird. Body looks really massive but since it is probably propelled more like a blimp then why not. ;-)

Looks awesome
But the wings are very short, maybe a bit longer?
