The problem with that is you need overlapping units for placing modules. I possibly could hard code what units are modules, or only allow structures to overlap, though.

I tried to upload some source for macuser and found I can't upload a 5MB file any more - a php limit error.

It would be great, if somebody with OS X can test this UI (you need Qt 4.6 or newer and of course compile this :D) from our Map Editor.
And post screenshots of OS X version. I don't have access to machine with OS X, well... if someone did this - thanks (:

Source is only in SVN repository (we do not have any release so far, as it's only UI designing phase right now ;-)).

This is indeed a historical moment as the first pre alpha release of flaME for mac is out!!!

Notes (these will be fixed in later releases):
1. the terrain selector on the left covers content and does not change with the tabs
2. the included zip is by no means the end result but must be run form the terminal. It will be a clickable app later

Requirements:
A mac or linux machine running mac 10.4 or any relatively new version of linux. 256 MB RAM, 700 MHZ, 10MB HD space, Warzone 2100, MONO runtime 2.4 or >

Link to download coming soon.

Note: rename Debug.7z to Debug.7z.001 and Debug2.7z to Debug.7z.002 and place them in the same directory before you extract them.

You better get as close as you can to Win/flaME, otherwise I'll have to rewrite the manual, and I will NOT be a happy man.
