New version of the flaManual; fixes the problems on the last page of this topic, including adding a Gateway page, and I've added a Table of Contents with hyperlinks.
EDIT: Go to page 19 to get the latest version.

OK to answer all you questions
1. toolkits used: MONO runtime, OpenTK, and I think Flail also used some zip file toolkit
2. Release date: hopefully before summer here

3. It is not being ported for mac only but is being made platform independent
4. I am NOT porting editworld I am porting flaME
However, I am having trouble sending files to Flail13 as this forum blocks PM attachments and so does his email service

Hmmm.... We are all entitled to our PoVs even if they are based on nothing much.
Over the last 10+ years I've spent countless hours working with WE, EW, 32EW, EW22C and now FlaME (never worked with Diorama).
Hands down, FlaME, has the most powerful tool set, the most effective layout of the lot & is rock solid stable (all the others would crap-out without rhyme or reason so you had to consciously save every few minutes or risk losing hours of work which was annoying, frustrating, distracting and no fun. They had other shortcomings as well, I won't get into 'cause it's a waste of time).
So yea, peeps are free to use the other WZ Map Editors, & in that sense they can co-exist. As well folks are free to dev WE/EW from the Pumpkin source. But to both, I cannot help but ask - WHY bother ? But hey, it ain't no skin off my nose. I'm happily using the powerful FlaME creating what could never be made practical with the other Editors and am very grateful to Flail13 for creating it and making possible an entirely new, fresh & very potent chapter in WZ Map Making.

.NET framework is bad choice for developing free software, mostly because it's unclear licensing. Also it has many limitations (I was forced to use that for two years, so I know that it's not worth using)...
If you want I can rewrite it to C++ and Qt (which has many advantages, and most important, very good platform integration). It's not important on which one I'll work, more important is to have good map editor with could be for example distributed with game.
If you don't want, then I'll work on Edit World (mostly creating UI form scratch and rewriting logic).

Several things I like about .net is that it can be converted VERY easily to c++ (I have a converter) however until it is actually finished being ported I will not convert it. However I understand how .net is NOT the fastest however it IS the BEST IDE I have EVER used

I would even go so far as to say it is better than anything apple has ever come up with in that realm.

Then you need to try others.
And it's not IDE, it's framework, IDE is Microsoft Visual Studio or MonoDevelop (clone, but improved).
And in case of converting you probably mean C#, and as far as I know it uses VB.NET.

No, I really do mean c++ and although the IDE is the best (I have used MANY) the framework is not quite as fast as a native app is what I meant.

Depends on point of view. You can find many discussions on internet.

The way how it's used now makes it really slow (it could be faster). It's even better to use Java instead (C# = C++ + Java + some crap).

Agreed, it IS better to use java then to use .net THAT IS, only when it is not running on windows. HOWEVER .net on windows IS perfectly normal. That is why it will be converted to c++ when porting is done

It's not better to convert it now and do not waste time and work?
And no, .NET applications are slower also on Windows (even simple console application that prints text in loop is extremely slow if comparing to C++, tested on Windows XP, 768 MB RAM, 2.8 GHz Intel processor).

Hmm... No it is not better to convert it now because it will take no time to convert it (I'll just feed it into my converter) and (don't tell anyone) but I don't know much c++.
