Hey... Don't laugh at me, I just got confused due to this:
cybersphinx wrote:Updated, thanks. There were still a few errors in the file, you could use
poedit, that prevents those.
When clicked that link, gone there...
Poedit is cross-platform gettext catalogs (.po files) editor. It is built with wxWidgets toolkit and can run on any platform supported by it (although it was only tested on Unix with GTK+ and Windows). It aims to provide more convenient approach to editing catalogs than launching vi and editing the file by hand.
That confused me... and searched wxWidgets for download instead of finding the download button, just because I thought that I needed wxWidgets for running PoEdit...

apt-get install poedit
Thanks.
Byyy the way... I just have to solve my little problem with TortoiseSVN and I'll continue... PoEdit doesn't recognize my file... (Spanish.txt) I tried changing it back to .po, but didn't work...
Please, last time I just copy/pasted the file... How can I download it using TortoiseSVN? I'm just getting stressed...

I need help with Croatian translation.
" (switched locally)"- I know what "to switch" means, but I think it means something else. What?

Ok, I just did the final check using the notepad... I couldn't load the file to PoEdit...
Here you have it on .txt... there should not be any more problem, and there should not be any untranslated line.

Probably your file is too strange for it, with DOS lineendings, not UTF8, stray quotes (msgstr "El jugador %u" tiene una versión errónea. Auto kicking."), $u instead of %u. Anyway, I've fixed it, just download the current version from SVN for further updates.
How can I download it using TortoiseSVN? I'm just getting stressed...
Checkout this:

(I took Spanish in high school.)
Code: Select all
#: src/scores.c:449
#, c-format
msgid "You cheated!"
msgstr "Hiciste trampa!"
Missing an upside down exclamation mark.

I bet a few others are also missing similar punctuation...
Also, these:
Code: Select all
#: src/multiplay.c:1084
msgid "(allies"
msgstr "Aliados"
#: src/multiplay.c:1092
msgid "(private to "
msgstr "Privado"
Are combined with names:
(private to Player 1)
So they should be stuff like "(privadamente a" and "(a aliados"
Same with here:
Code: Select all
#: src/multijoin.c:384
msgid "System message:"
msgstr "Mensaje del sistema"
It should be "Mensaje del sistema:". In general, try to preserve the surrounding punctuation.
Also, here:
Code: Select all
#: src/multimenu.c:758
msgid "Kills"
msgstr "Muertes"
"Kills" means "number of people they've killed", not "number of deaths", so I think "muertes" is inappropriate. Maybe "asesinados"?

It means the SVN checkout was switched to another repo (or branch). Not sure if this should even be translated, it doesn't really make sense then (if I know what it means, I also understand the English version, and if I don't know, a translation won't help me, it might even prevent googling the right things). Anyway, I don't remember ever seeing this, so it's very low-priority.

Sorry, usual mistake when I type...
So they should be stuff like "(privadamente a" and "(a aliados"
"(privadamente a"... wrong, maybe it should be "(privado a".
"(a aliados" ok, my bad. ^^

NO WAY!! That's wrong mistake the verb "asesinar" is "to murder"! Not kill! For a spanish, said like that in a game just sounds awfully. And in most games that this appears it is "Muertes", but it could also be "Eliminados" if you prefer that other one.
And the "number of deaths" is "número de bajas"...
Don't confuse between "Muertes" and "Bajas"...

To me, it is high priority.
I am translating in PoEdit from bottom, because easier strings are there.
I got to it and I can't continue until I do it.
I will translate it as I translated " (modified locally)".

Saberuneko: I applied your latest update, but you should really download the current version (
https://warzone2100.svn.sourceforge.net ... 3/po/es.po) after each update, so you work on the current version, and I don't have to correct your errors again and again...

Checked the version you just gave me, just sorry... I want to be helpful, but I feel like giving you more work than helping
Well no problems with this one, only 2 typos on some new lines I didn't have on the other one. I will start translating the untranslated lines.

Fuzzy lines revised, untranslated lines done. Hope this time everything is ok. Sorry for the last problems I gave.

It is here:
#1367.
I will continue translating when I finish campaign.

I'm not sure if "Incrementa la Defensa Cinética y los Puntos Estructurales en un 35%" is going to fit in the design screen.
