Yeah, I wasn't arguing in favor, at least as a base game change. Maybe a mod would be best.

I just want to control a defense structure,thats all.Oh and pls can we add a control option too? like i am building artillery but they start fire right away and get killed before i finish building the group.Id like them to remain still till i finish building and only fire when i allow to.
... oh i just had another brilliant small idea,how about a small support structure that increases rof of the buildings near it or adds damage.lets say in area of 1.

You can keep them from shooting by building the sensor last, since sensors always have to be closer to their targets than the arty they control.

It doesnt work,they fire on anything other units sense.

They only fire on things they see, or things that sensors see. In other words, if a MG bunker sees a unit, a arty emplacement/pit won't fire on it.

I noticed sometimes my arty helps my battle group, altough it is out of sensor range, and I have no sensors there.
