Using a smaller font and longer string would work better. Given that it could not easily be read at in-game zoom levels it would create the illusion of each vehicle having individual numbering like a license plate or serial ID.

The locks on the engine shroud turned out awesome, by the way.

What about putting a barcode on the vehicles? They are droids after all :)

2nd on right, although i'd like to see bottom left with a shorter barcode

My iPhone couldn't pick up on the barcode on the bottom right :(

I like the top right, but I'm not sure what the significance of "BODY1REC" is... is that how viper comes up in textpages? It might make more sense if it just said "VIPER"

I would consider that as untranslatable anyway, since Project is clearly USA based.

I say go with the top right one since Warzone 2100's vehicles are already modular in design, so we might as well place some factory numbers on them (for ease of finding the parts to assemble), and maybe a bar code as well (for military tracking purposes).

The last picture gives me an idea. I don't know how WZ handels the droids, but maybe it is possible somehow to tag the droids with a unique production number(?).
By the meaning of the first built Viper Wheels Machinegun could wear VIWHMG001 or something. Not knowing how to code and saying that for a way too long time, an additional layer on the bodys could do it showing the cyphers directly from a specified font.
Good idea? Bad idea?

Powzone, I've suggested that before too. ;-)
It is currently impossible AFAIK, but would be nice small detail.
Although even static numbers / text make sense, especially if they have special meaning (kind of Easter Egg), related to dates / events from WZ time line or other games, books, movies etc.
