Have you tested the effects these new models have on game speed? If you have some ready-made mods for me, I can do some testing, and see what I can do about possible problems, if you like.
PM to me your email ;)

I personally think the dark window looks cool. :c) Its a nice feature that I'd like to retain some variant of it in the final cut ^_^

Any particular reason why you're not uploading it as an attachment here? Remember, we are an open-source game; I don't see any reason why anything should be kept private.

Put two wings on it and you've got a VTOL :P
But a hover and you've got an... hovercraft ;)

Ok, we do know that tanks use indirect way of looking at the outside, but the original models do have the glass-looking windshield. Our main purpose in this mod is to keep the main qualities (other than uglyness xD ) from the original models. Also, we must remember those bodies are multi-purpose, they can be AA mobile platforms, they can be infantry fighting vehicles, they can be main battle tanks, they can be VTOL bombers, they can be VTOL fighters, they can be mobile artillery platform... A whole lot of things :rolleyes:

And remember, there's no pilot in there. There are sensors, every vehicle in WZ is unmanned. This way, a reflecting winshield would even help protecting the sensors because the enemies wouldn't know the exact posisiton to shoot, but whatever. Let's not discuss the game's aspects any further, and let's focus on the qualities of those models. :3

Yeah, we are going to make all the bodies for CAM1, so the players can test all of them during the first campaign. I'm working on Scorpion's textures, and MaNGusT should be working on Mantis right now ;)

We're not planning to keep that for ourselves (no f-ing way, with all those good comments and praise, that would be just sadistic O_o ), like I said, we're not evil or anything xD

I think we'll manage to make it until this weekend, but I can not promise anything, though;
I understand that most of you are eager to see those ingame, but we need just a little more time to make it, seriously.

Even if it's used for a VTOL, it's a huge window xD... I mean... It looks good with this appearance, but I thought that those "vehicles" were without people inside of them...
Maybe I should remove my location o_O

Sure; Sure. ;)

I think that propulsions + Collective bodies are going to be on the second release, but we haven't done much of it yet (MaNGusT made small-body wheels, but we need to talk about propulsions yet)

The mods should make official threads for each body type so when people are done they can upload them to one thread instead of having them spread all around the forums.

Then other people can know what is done and what is not done. Image
