My first impression of these are that they looks totally sweet
However, after staying at them for awhile I'm wondering why they're textured with what I'd call "faux shadows" (darker on the bottom, with a hard transition)? Something about that seems off to me, like, it shouldn't be there.

The texture used is some concrete structure A dam I think but that is a real texture not edited.
If you build a structure the concrete laid in stages the texture is different for each stage..

Its ok Lav the issue is with the texture not us....I suggest all artists use textures they have made themselves as many web sites with free images don't like open source
From irc> Berg: crap sandwhich, i just read a bit further on the FAQ: May I use these textures in my Open Source (Creative Commons, GPL, etc) project?
From irc> No. These textures may not be used in Open-Source projects. The licenses are not compatible. Almost all Open-Source licenses allow redistribution of the materials, and redistribution is not allowed for these textures

@Berg - looks good, but I do not like the dark seam between the top and foundation. Also there seems to be dark seams at the top of the pillars, that I do not think should be there.
@stiv, effigy, etc : Stay on topic, please.

I turned shadows off and the seam vanished
Stinking shadows
That position the seam is at is below the actual model so some way the extra model is being draw under the model looks like some code issue
No seam
From what I can observe it looks like the code is still stretching the textures

Looking good

If anyone needs free textures I recently went on a wall-photographing spree with my camera

About the walls: How did you do the seam elements? Are they just duplicated on top of each other? I was wondering because I think that could cause texture flickering in some places...
