can't save the game

Sorry,
when I read all the messages in this forum, I'm sure that I'm not in the right place !
I know nothing about PC and informatic ... I'm just a fan of Warzone (starting on PS2).
My problem : it's impossible for me to save the game (Windows XP). The windows open, I write a name than... nothing...
If somebody can help me with, let's say, some understanding words !
