OBEY ME, YOU MORTARS!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, or I have simply overlooked the issue in the forum... Often, on away missions, i build a senor tower, and then bring in mortars etc and assign it to that tower to bolster my defense. When the time comes to move out and attack, I have to unassign the mortars form the sensors which is REALLY frustrating as I have to do it for EACH tank, is there a easier way than this? I dont believe the mortars automatically return to the repair centres when told to retreat at a certain level of damage. Same thing applies to sensor tanks too.

prior to assigning your mortar tanks to a sensor - give them a number ( ctrl [1 to 0] ) and this will enable you to pull all of the mortar units away from any sensor by just pushing the number you have assigned to them. ok? xD

Ah. Sounds sooooo simple. Thanks!!! My repeats of five minutes fumbling with artillery units are soon to be long gone

You can hold Ctrl key down while selecting multiple units at the same time then clic somewhere on the map and they will be unassigned to the sensor.
BTW, units assigned to a sensor don't seem to move to get in firing range, so they must be placed correctly prior to assigning them, can anybody confirm this ?
