Suggestion: Game speed modifier

Hello,
I used to love the original game and really admire the work you guys are doing here. This website is quite new to me so I apologise if my suggestion has been mentioned before. Also I'm not a programmer so I know nothing about possibilities.
But when I used to play this game with my friends and family, we often thought it would have been nice if there was a way to change the game speed; specifically to make it faster. I'm sure everyone has experienced boring research waits here. So it would be great if this was possible.
Thanks.

check the key mapping in options.
shift + to increase speed
shift - to reduce speed
shift backspace to reset speed
unless you mean a way to adjust research speed, build speed, ect. individually.

Oh... thanks.
Damn, wish I knew that before I waited for a day on Alpha 3 to get some spare energy. Restarting campaigns for nostalgia.

can we get a larger range of speed changes?
i mean, 150% isn't really that fast.

put --cheat in the shortcut you use to start the game so the end of it reads
Warzone 2100\warzone2100.exe"
--cheat
then hit shift + backspace in game
this will let you get x10 speed
avoid using it though, it causes bugs, especially in campaign.
the controlls for sped are actually
ctrl + for faster
ctrl - for slower
ctrl backspace for reset speed

I'm also curious about this. My brother and I have been enjoying cooperative games on simple maps where the AI can still be challenging, but the speed is ridiculous for responding to the computer.
There is one reference I found that says something about being able to use "cheats" in a multiplyaer game with a debug binary, but I haven't been able to find this for the current version. Being able to change the game speed doesn't really seem like a cheat anyway...
Anyone have a suggestion?
