you know I think there is an issue with sound, since, i use headphones, and aligned north, sound from the right seems to come from the left, same left sound that seems to come from the right. Same if i put in on speakers (and no, I'm not wearing the headphones the wrong way, and the speakers are not switched.) Is this a real issue, is it just me, or has this been reported already?

Thank you for the info Zarel, I will tell this to my friends who are into Warzone, but not the forums. :)

Cheers, Yamar

Nexus is asking weird questions... ;)

You should include your version and distro (if applicable) to be eligible for help tho :)

NEXUS wrote:Am I allowed to have both this and 2.2.1 installed at the same time? just in seperate folders?
Yes, but there's no reason to keep 2.2.1...
NEXUS wrote:and also, do most mods for 2.2.1 work in 2,2,2?
All of them do. This is a minor (bugfix) release.
NEXUS wrote:And are mods put together the same way for 2.2.2 as they are in 2.2.1?
Yes. Nothing about mods was changed at all. This is a minor release.
NEXUS wrote:Is it just the command line activation that was changed for mods?
Nothing about the command line was changed. This is a minor release. o_O

We've known this for ages. It's just that none of the developers know anything about sound, so it's never been fixed. :P

Is it tomorrow yet... or would that be today if it was.... :D

How would you build it on a mac by the way? the instructions on the wiki are pretty vague.

On another note, when will the version that works with Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6) happen? Because on the 28th, Snow Leopard is released, but then again, Warzone may work on 10.6... heres hoping!

Cheers, Yamar

P.S. sorry for the "ramble" folks, its 11:30 PM local time here, so I'm a bit fuzzy.

so... when will 2.2.2 for mac be ready?

Will this release help with the crash when you finish level 17 (I think that that's the one) I think that that has been said somewhere on the forums by someone else... but even if its just me, 2.2.2 should help fix that right?

Cheers, Yamar

I'll test this release with the latest gallium3d drivers for radeon r300 (yeap, I have a new toy to play!) ;)

prepairing to compile 2.6.31-rc7 from git (these guys said that they fixed an annoing bug causing hard freeze on my system)... and then... certainly! test! test! test warzone2100! :)

Thank you guys! You gave me a lot of good mood as always!

With the best regards...

As Thyranium implies, the new range of the Angel Missile is 11 tiles - it's not intended to be long-range artillery anymore, but rather a replacement for the Mini-Rocket Artillery.

Ahh that explains all. Are there any changes to other long-range artillery?

Archie is significantly shorter range, but still the longest-range artillery out there. Other than that, nothing but some balancing.

By the way, these are all things that were changed from 2.1.x -> 2.2.x, nothing's changed for 2.2.1 -> 2.2.2. Pay closer attention. ;)

... and a big thanks and congratulations to the dev team. 2.2.2 is appreciably more stable and gain in stability is a really big win. I tried a couple of maps that used to cause a lot of trouble with the path bug (sk-Basingstoke and sk-Manhattan) and it ran through without crashing at all. Consider yourselves appreciated.
