I just redid the scav bloke and cyborg + their animation
.. looks good :stare: but the messes and textures are a little off, blender ate my vertices :gonk:
but the good news is that although crude they work,
just wait.. when they get the new ani format in

new cyborg 2.0

head ideas I didn't know which one was the best, maybe we could make it faction based

Hi XANAX,
I am very impressed about your work! Very good done!
Did you stayed by 6 objects in the cyborg run pie file?

Just a tip - use UVs > Snap to pixels when texturing in blender - your textures wont be shifted but are going to be exact placed.
And in UV texture paint mode select all UVs and press W key and select Set > Two side

Its funny that any time i start to work on something, others come first with results. :D

cool stuff man :) how did you get the animations to work?

but 500+250 vertices is a bit overkill imo :( (imagine you have 100 cyborg units)
i'm sure it will look good enough after reducing the vertices count to 200+100
would be very nice ;)

Hi Elio,
how XANAX did the animation? The cybd_std.pie represents the cyborg body - even so it is the model of the cyborg legs when he stay without moving. You change it and you have a cyborg standing model legs changed.
But when he starts to run, the cybdprun.ani calls the animation pie in line
ANIM3DFRAMES "cybdprun.pie" 6 10 (desripton is in the ani file)
The cybdprun.pie has 6 objects inside representing the frames of the animation. Objects are called by the ani file using the name shortcut 0 , 1 , 2 (LEVEL_0 , LEVEL_2 .... in cybdprun.pie) and so on until the end frame number is reached and then starts from start (walk cycle) Remodeling the objects (frames) does the trick :)
The ani file allows to change the number of frames and the frame rate.

Hope XANAX does not ming that i answered instead of him.

Astorian

So that means the scb was defined in some stat file but the pie files where not pressent?
Or did you created a new class?

I really like the smaller size of the cyborgs. Awesome work!

Not sure I like the "huge box head" of the super cyborgs. They look sort of like... walking bricks, if you understand what I mean?
