Mini-rocket ARTILLERY
Re: Mini-rocket ARTILLERY
I'm a big fan of the weapon as it is right now. But it is not artillery. Array is a great alternative!

Re: Mini-rocket ARTILLERY
array is good or battery as is what it is called when researched in psx i believe....
Return to your designated zone or be destroyed. You are in contravention of the new paradigm.

Re: Mini-rocket ARTILLERY
Agreed, balance is not the issue here, only making the name fit the current function.
I say go for "mini-rocket array"
I say go for "mini-rocket array"

I like mini rocket battery personally. When I first started playing I had a terrible time with these I built a bunch to act as fire support but they had to get so close to the enemy that they didn't last a minute. What do you use a short range rocket emplacement for anyway?
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

Thanks Zarel.
Btw while the weapon called is "Mini-rocket Artillery" and the pit is named as "MRL Emplacement" in-game the research that corresponds to the defensive structure is titled "Mini-Rocket Battery"

Oh, wait, last time I blamed someone, someone else got mad at me.
But I blame one of the developers who renamed "Mini-Rocket Battery" to "MRL Emplacement". I plan on renaming it back to "Mini-Rocket Battery" eventually.

They eat anything wheeled or hovering for breakfast. But let's not discuss balance here.milo christiansen wrote:I like mini rocket battery personally. Make it so it can fire over walls and over cliffs. With the angle it has it should be able to. Then it WILL be artillery.

It is indirect weapon.Fire Truck wrote:It can hit what it cant see? Maybe I remember it wrong then...
All indirect weapon can fire over walls and cliffs.
Re: Mini-rocket ARTILLERY
Well, it needs a spotter (i.e. it needs to be assigned to a sensor turret) to hit what it can't see. You know, like actual artillery.Fire Truck wrote:It can hit what it cant see? Maybe I remember it wrong then...
