Yea... I know... I haven't changed anything since I got a copy of 32EW in 2006 and yet, for example, I've had EBRs work, then not work, then
work.... like a vicious voodoo circle that has driven me batty periodically because I can't really pin-down WHY but, to be honest, I'm also too lazy
when it comes to this to go to the extent of running 32EW with IBMs Rational Purify Plus to see if i can find anything on a code level.... mainly
because since there is no source, if I did find something nothing could be done anyway.

is ok - it worked - used the 16 bit ew to import the height map and compile to the .LND file and then transfered to the 32 bit to do the rest... here is a screen of the begining - needs about another few days to complete ( yeah like about a few hundred... :stare: :3 xD )

Sweet. :) When I have issues with 32EW I'll resort to this work-around as well.

What do you mean by "mainline"? The new renderer is in trunk, which is SVN's equivalent of mainline.

Lav.... I have a question.

What are you doing different in your 32EW map-making with the new trunk renderer in mind than if you you were making the map just for running on the latest binary release v.2.2.1 ?

Thanks..

ok i have something... had to do a total redo - so ignore the textures also ignore the large bits that are still blocked out... is a work in progress... :stressed: :3 xD
map23.zip
this is a work in progress - not final... modoricam = modified original campaign map - alpha - 250 by 250 and resources are sparse - if you can find and keep em you might survive....

Hmmm.... If I'm understanding correctly.... the new renderer does NOT use Texture Mip-Maps like the current one or maybe does so in a different way. Grrr.... I was also understanding there was gonna be a proggy or script to convert maps made for the current renderer to run under the new one. Or maybe I'm imagining that last since I can't recall where exactly that came to my attention..

Thanks for the info. :) Sounds like something I'm gonna wanna put off for a spell dealing with in any case.

that map i just released - will work out of the box - not for use with the trunk release.... use the last release on the site.. 2.2.1 i think? or whatever it is... thing is with the editworld 32bitbeta - it still requires the old texture pages ... :3 :3 :3

dunno what to do - either make a new one by combining all the little ones back into the big one... which is a whole lot of pain locker in itself... :stare:

It may still be a WIP but it plays well. I found no probs and just pure fun. :D Like how you did the oil placements too.

I played T-3 against 7 BP (in which all scripting rolled-out beautifully including Vtol Sorties).... also with my modifications and Zarel's latest Re-Balance on the v.2.2.1 game binary.

Play it folks - it's a good one. Here's a screen cap I took after I was essentially defeated. Still fun. ;)
