'make uninstall' should work

Well, wish it did, however, it doesn't, even running as su. It just returns a no rule error. devclean doesn't work for the same reason.
Seems reasonable that an uninstall rule[set] should be included [though I admit it was my error by not using checkinstall or other builder to create an rpm] as the various Linux versions may not be current. I had thought I would test then submit the eventual rpm candidate to the repository for inclusion. That is the intent for the 2.2.0 version as well.
So is there a list of files and directories created somewhere? Or a ruleset?
Would using a NEW expanded tar directory to create the uninstall perhaps work, rather than using the original?
Or is there some other way, such as by using checkinstall or other builder to create an rpm and overwriting, then un-installing the 2.1.3 version?
As for the other noted issue: - the inability to actually use the game due to no visible clickables on the first screen, I have to start at the bottom and slowly work up clicking as I go to get the quit - would this be related to compiz verses the nVidia driver [or rather Fedora's Livna nVidia control usage].

Oh my, kick me in the head >gently<.. <smile>
Ran -make uninstall- today [just now] and it DID uninstall... gees, why?? maybe after a few updates or something, there were a few since the install... thanks for the help with that part of it...
I guess I will wait for the "official release" {five/four days} of Fedora 11 before I make the 2.2.0 rpm candidate... [maybe someone already did, we'll see..]
Any ideas on the graphics problem or did you not get what I meant?

The toplevel Makefile appears to have both uninstall and distclean targets. Maybe you were in the wrong dir.

Don't use compiz. It tends not to play well with OpenGL on many platforms. Same goes for KDE4 desktop effects and Aero on Windows.
As a general rule, the manufacturer's drivers perform better than the open source versions.

Yeah, well it didn't when I originally posted, the day after,, yet did today... as indicated, Fedora had several updates done to the devel files, make, and other. Likely the 10 version was backburnered during prep for 11.
As for the display issue, I noted a screen shot from a 2.2. discussion {viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2262} reflecting the apparent issue, and that the issue may relate to the game's fonts not installing. I wait and see what happens after the Fedora upgrade and via using an rpm to install.
Thanks for your time... sorry to fill this thread with something that likely should have been put elsewhere...
