Thanks a lotZi-Chan wrote:Here is a Map-Pack i found on the german Warzone-Forums:
It contains 52 playable Beta 4 and 2.0.10-Maps! Awesome
Some of my previous posted Maps are contained too, but not all, and many many many... many others.
Almost all of them work with the 2.0.10 too - only 2 or 3 of them don't.
So you can just place this File both in your 2.1 Beta 4- and your 2.0.10-Folder.
Have Fun!
P.S.: Scroll up in this Topic for some Maps, which aren't in this Map-Pack:

Re: New Maps for Beta 4
Great thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: New Maps for Beta 4
Good going, zi-chan. (And black-nexus, for taking the trouble...)
Seems to be more than 52 maps, maybe as many as 100! That means that practically every custom map has been brought across from v1.10. That has to be a boost for the development.

Somebody here said, that there were like 700-800 Maps. Don't know, if that is true - i wasn't there
Re: New Maps for Beta 4
There was a big map pack going around at one time, I think it was Rodzilla that used the converter that he talked about on the ML.
But, since it would be impossible to get permission from the original authors, not much was done with it.

Re: New Maps for Beta 4
good maps , can they be changed into beta 5 please? ^^;
Re: New Maps for Beta 4
I didn't have any problems playing them in beta 5, other than a lot of strange missing graphics for some map features, especially on the Mountain maps (there are two similar ones, both with the same errors, but I can't remember the name of either), where there are a lot of what seems to be rocks and similar map features that have the wrong or no textures loaded, they are shown as blue instead of the colours they are supposed to have.DarkCheetah wrote:good maps , can they be changed into beta 5 please? ^^;

Re: New Maps for Beta 4
I played the maps fine on beta 4, but then when I went to beta 5, they were no longer In the game. Maybe I might have to re-download the maps. But I had checked the folder I put them in, and it was still there. Do the map files go into a different folder in beta 5?fisk0 wrote:I didn't have any problems playing them in beta 5, other than a lot of strange missing graphics for some map features, especially on the Mountain maps (there are two similar ones, both with the same errors, but I can't remember the name of either), where there are a lot of what seems to be rocks and similar map features that have the wrong or no textures loaded, they are shown as blue instead of the colours they are supposed to have.DarkCheetah wrote:good maps , can they be changed into beta 5 please? ^^;
or is it still in C:\Documents and Settings\~NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Warzone 2100 2.1\maps?
Edit: Ahh, never mind, found out it does need a different folder.
I put it in C:\Program Files\Warzone 2100\mods\global\autoload

Huh? Why a different Folder? Works fine at me with the normal "maps"-Folder. At every Version i have.DarkCheetah wrote:dit: Ahh, never mind, found out it does need a different folder.

Re: New Maps for Beta 4
I don’t know. I’m running it on a widows XP. That would be the only thing I can think of. But, then that would not really matter because the Warzone program still reads files and folders from specific directories, I think. Either way, putting it in the auto load folder works for me.Zi-Chan wrote: Huh? Why a different Folder? Works fine at me with the normal "maps"-Folder. At every Version i have.
However, some times the game freezes after I choose certain maps when i'm in the ready room. I’ll probably make a list of which ones freeze the game sometime later.
Re: New Maps for 2.1
For what it is worth, any map for 2.1 beta 4, should work for any release of 2.1 (and 2.2 ...)
Also note, that the maps really should be in the maps folder of your config dir.
If you don't know what your config dir is, then start the game with --debug all added to the shorcut, and it will spit out "wz : [initialize_ConfigDir] Write dir: whatever_it_is"
That is your config dir.

Re: New Maps for 2.1
That sounds…complex. I made a shortcut, went to the properties, and added the words “--debug all” at the end of the target thingy. It then said the file does not exist. I reverted it back, then I added the words at the end of the shortcuts name. nothing out of the ordinary happened. bleh?Buginator wrote:For what it is worth, any map for 2.1 beta 4, should work for any release of 2.1 (and 2.2 ...)
