We have no code to handle torpedoes, so let's wait with that.

Why don't you just take the code from some of the following Missles, which already exist? Torpedos are nothing more than Rockets/Missles following something - they just have to be a bit bigger, need some new Textures and maybe need a longer Range and some better "Find and Destroy" than the Missles.

Topic: Nice prototype - i don't like Naval Units that much though, isnt that Ship a bit big? Look at the Canons and think about the Fortresses, they are 2x2 Fields big already. You will have to zoom out more, otherwise the Ship in this Size will take the whole Screen. And when you zoom out, you get Problems with the Fog and then you won't be able to see the small Ships around anymore.. Same goes for the Rearm-Airship - there you need to zoom out too and then you can't see the tiny VTOLs anymore, e.g. because of the Fog..
And what is about Bodypoints? Aren't 8400 the Maximum? Or is that like at Energy, it says 1000 at a Maximum, but some Units cost more (e.g. when having Plasma Lasers). I wonder, why it doesn't show the real Amounts.

yeah it needs to be big, because they must have an advantage to hovercraft. we'll see how it fits in warzone, check the transporter, it's also big and doesn't annoy with its size imo.

also noticed this, it's a bug, especially when playing with heavy bodies (2 weapons mounted), well i don't know much about stats and values, afaik troman is the specialist

Ye, right, but those Ships would be bigger than the Transporters. Two Fortress Canons (each of them almost 1,5x1,5 Fields big) two normal weapons (0,1-0,5 Field big) and maybe a Sensor.. :S Those Ships will be at least 1,5 times as big as Transporters, when staying with this Specifications. Well, lets see.

They would need seriously large bodies of water to be viable.

hmm, i think i have escort classes available for this 'project'
unfortunatly i had to format so i dont have them anymore.
but at the time i was working on fish -> dolphin -> whale body sets
i was hoping delphinio still had them somewhere...
there untextured because im useless at it.
if i can get hold of delph and see if he still has the ol'e bodys i could probably donate them to you.
i had hundreds of pictures of them in my pictures folder but that went with the unfortunate format.

I wonder, would it be possible to have a super small body that could be something like a bike when equipped with wheels (if it is even possible to put the wheel propulsion in the middle beneath the body instead of on it's sides?), something looking rather like a snowmobile with half-tracks and tracks and a jetski with the naval body? :)
what it could be similar too as a vtol I have no idea, but somebody would figure it out, it would just be cool to have small, super fast jetski things with twin machine guns or rocket pods or other small weapons as early naval units.

perhaps some up scaled bombard mortars or big howitzers would be cool....most naval units are siege weapons as a matter of fact
