Here's my next (but more warzonish) version of a power generator, it is much less complex (exactly 127 Polygons) than my first one. hope you like it. The texture is not final but the model is.
Anyway suggestion desired

Awesome!
I'm just hoping that you'll add some colour to the texture though

I think there's two things to do to make a power generator everyone will be happy with.
One is to make something more like around 512 faces, that will look alot more like something from this or the previous generation of graphics without going over the top given that it is a large structure that you'd rarely every see three of on your screen at once.
Two is to make it follow the layout of the previous model exactly, but with greater detail so that the faces don't stand out. Then if you still have faces in your budget left, add more detail that compliments what you already have or just keep adding polys until you have the nicest smooth and/or beveled look that your budget allows.

Nice, but the pylons' textures somehow remind me of one of the attractions from Rollercoaster Tycoon.
EDIT: I think it was the "Mega Slide" (not sure, played de-version only ;)).
Another EDIT:

Message was that it made me remember that attraction in Rollercoaster Tycoon ;)
I like this model and would not have a real problem with it in-game.

* I have always assumed a WZ Power Generator serves simultaneously as a Wireless Power Transmission Station..
* Here's a RL Wireless Power Transmission Tower ala the great Tesla -

At which places would you set the team color?à
EDIT: @ elio: Which software do you use? Your work looks killer!

btw the original one afaik has no team colors (or i simply can't see them)
here are some proposals, (ok i don't really like nr3

) , so feel free to suggest other teamcolor locations
are there other suggestions? tell me!
@qwerty800 cinema4d, it is very intuitive for me

@Rman Virgil: and i always ask me how is the oil transferred from the derriks to the generator?

I'd suggest to use teamcolors from the first image with the lower segments of the "towers" painted too...
And probably this is what hides under a Power Generator
xD xD

@Rman Virgil: and i always ask me how is the oil transferred from the derriks to the generator?
* That too is easily explained - and also beside the point but here ya go...
* That can only be assumed as a "magical" design decision for the sake of a stripped-down line of supply Game Play Mechanic that was conceded strictly to lessen micro-management (thus make it more fun) like a number of other elements in WZ that mix some realism with dollops of fantasy and for the same core design rationale. O_O
* So the original point was an admixture of rationale in the service of aesthetics, somewhat akin to the question of why should Commanders have the look of butt-ugly 1950's rabbit-ear TV antenna tuners.

* On an aesthetic side-bar:
* The WZ Power Gen pylon design has always brought to mind a cross between the "candy-stripe motif" (been around at least 100 years in textiles - esp. popular with Yule-tide apparel) and the "dunce cap" (been around since at least the 1700s).....
