The music in this package is made and provided by these people, in alphabetical order:
Oh teh noes, I lost the first line :rolleyes:
You simply edited the wrong file. That one is just a readme to the music added in 2.1 Beta 4.
Ok so, let's start from scratch.
1. Create a "music" directory in the Warzone directory.
2. Copy the .ogg tracks to use in-game in the newly created "music" directory.
3. Create a text file named "music.wpl" in the "music" directory. The contents should look as the following:
Code: Select all
[game]
path=.
shuffle=yes
trackone.ogg
trackthree.ogg
trackfour.ogg
[menu]
path=.
shuffle=yes
trackone.ogg
trackthree.ogg
trackfour.ogg
Use the same name of the .ogg file you want to add to the playlist.
4. Make sure you deactivate the music mod added in the latest Warzone version, by removing the file "music_1.0.wz" from the "Warzone 2100/mods/autoload" directory. Put it in the "warzone 2100/mods" directory if you plan to use it again.

lone commander, what file are you editing and what's the path to it? Which files do you want to add to the playlist and what are the paths to them?

(you shouldn't trust on someone else's binary, but hey...)

FMVs will not make it into 2.1.0 afaik. They may will be added at a later point, when things are done. Until then you will have to use the text-only "videos".

We *really* need to put the Mac blobs at the same location as the other blobs that we provide...

Hi,
I have a question : when you said that we are able to have fmv's, do you speak about the orignal songs/videos ? Will them integrated to the game in a future version ?
*I remember logo for the new paradigm and his advert "leave this area or be destroyed":P *
Thanks.

Yes, the original soundtrack and FMVs. However, from what i know the video playback builds upon the new in-development lua scripting which has to be finished first. Thats why it can't be done "instant".

Yes i understand that this integration can be difficult to do.
But if it is planed, i will be patient
Good luck and congratulations for all.

I don't think that is the case. The one I redid doesn't use lua.
However, the patch has audio sync issues, and the person who originally wrote the patch has been away for awhile.
I also don't think anyone is working with anything lua related anymore.
