There's a workaround involving the use of the original EW. Could apply to your prob as it did for Lav's issue.
Basically do the edge brush work in the original EW then take your .LND file to 32EW to do everything else,
including the final map compile.

Starting here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3014&start=15

Concluding here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3014&p=29621#p29621

To do this you of course need Pumpkin v.1.10 installed and the original EW in the SAME
directory.

Both are available for dl at File Planet - just Google.

Your welcome - whipper :ninja:

and it ends here.

no... you will file it under ( omg - another {bug/feature} of the great editworld....) ever since i started doing maps - this wonderfull piece of software has given (me) all the fun / angony / frustration / plain old going bonkers - ph and did i mention fun.... yes!! somedays it pays to get out of bed - other days... :stare:

right now it is working fine - not excellent - but fine. we cant ask for much more- oh ! yes! i can hear it now! yes we can ask for more... well you can - but you will be waiting for ( whenever / whoever ) to code it.

now - who would like to see campaign 1a at 250 by 250 with a bit of water ... :)

That depends on where the water is ;)

For the editor, it would seem to me, that if the random map generator could read in height maps, then the only thing left would be user input for the fine tuning.
and it ends here.

Hmmm..... true enough, it would seem. Have you run it by Florian & Martin ?

and the reason this map is not complete is due to STUPID LIMITS on bunkers(structures). :stare: otherwise i would have posted it. xD

Florian just posted an answer in his thread -
Using a height map and then filling in the details would be hard/impossible, due to the way this map generator works. It would work if it used a bottom-up approach (start from a random height map, then derive the rest), but our map generator works top-down. (This has other advantages, such as us being able to prove certain properties a map has.)

That looks very intriguing. Not only because of the water but HOW you're doing the water.

I imagine it unfolding in game play as much an adventure as challenging maneuver combat.

actually - with this new rendering system - all those tiles that were 1/2 dirt and 1/2 water or watever... can be completely changed to something else as it goes from water to either cliff or ground tiles automatically... i will post a pic of how i am doing it. sure saves a lot on having to place tiles manually... :3 :3 :3 :3 :3

Oh lord yea, I'd surely be interested. Doing the coastlines of islands (that have lakes & rivers) plus atolls off the coast by hand has driven me to distraction in the past. O_o

well if they keep the way the render is now - its awesome when it comes to coast lines. have a look... :3 :3 xD
this is in the editor - as you can see it is just raw - water right up against the cliffs or the sand or concrete.
