How to enable Cheats?

Hey guys,
i have Warzone 2100 Version 4.5.5 on my Ubuntu 24.02 Laptop installed (using the snap store).
I can enable debug mode and the hotkeys to reveal the map etc. all work but i couldnt figure out how to use cheats like "get off my land *".
It says press "T" and enter the command but T does nothing...
