Cant launch the map editor, Have read other threads,

Ive downloaded the map editor from the link provided on the fourm and installed it. Tried launching it and it threw me the .dll error so I extracted the .dlls to system32 as well as system32/dllcache and straight to the main directory of the Beta World Editor. but it still tells me im missing MSVCR71.dll
Ive read all the other threads but it hasnt helped at all. Im running,
WinXP SP2
1792 MB Ram
ATI X1650 PRO AGP

Get msvcr71.dll.
Though I bet lav_coyote has it in his dll package...

I think that file is from Microsoft Visual C++ 2003, btw. So if someone owns that, he should be allowed to distribute this file.
Sadly MS doesn't provide a redist package for 2k3, like they do for 2k5...

Thanks lav_coyote, Its very strange, I know I have the MVC 2005 so I would have thought I would have downloaded 2003 somewhere along the lines, guess I didnt.

Sorry, If there was I didnt see that one. The only ones I saw were for other errors ect.

We have one thread for a missing mfc71.dll, one for a missing msvcr71.dll, let's see what other files may also be missing on people's systems...

Correct, a version build upon WxWidgtes is in development.
