I'm sorry that i must edit this post as well, but both, the FMVs and the Music didn't got released within the source release.
So, we aren't allowed in any way to redistribute them. The same goes for our members in this forum, even if it should be allowed in a specific country.
We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.
In some cases it's legal to have a backup copy of a disk, depending on the country applicable laws.
You are to keep the original disk even if it's damaged or old.
However in any circumstance it's illegal to distribute it in any way possible.
It's also illegal to take copyrighted music and edit it.
Since the music hasn't been released, it's still under copyright laws and any modification of it is completely illegal.

Nailed it, Serman.
Also, I think that the majority here and everywhere misunderstand the GPL and copyright issues. It is true that the GPL is a viral copyleft license but the copyright owner of the original source and data is Pumpkin Studios/Eidos. They are the proprietors of the terms of the original license and they are the ones that are to enforce it if its terms are broken.
Yes, it is true that you get what you pay for with the GPL. "Free as in beer" they say. They couldn't be more right, since what you get with Free all-you-can-grab Beer or the GPL software is a massive headache and brain damage. But I digress.
Lock this thread.
The best thing to do when your philosophies don't stand up to debate is to lock the thread and claim victory.

"Pirating" things which haven't been released for the public and distribute them is a punch in the face for the People, who released the Package we have. And second, we're still the ones, which have to carry the can about the legality of this project.

There is no being 'too' big, you either follow them or you don't. Don't like it? Go somewhere else. When you signed up to this site you agreed not to break the law. Posting copyrighted material which you do not have a license to distribute is breaking the law.
And when someone does post copyrighted material it is us who are 'on the line' so to speak. Sadly saying "It is the responsibility of the poster to ensure their comments are legal" does not cut it in today's society. I may not agree with it, but at the end of the day it is just how it is.
