scorpion has invisable(no) vtol componant
in skirmish at least...
il check the campaign tomorrow to see if the same bug is there
(the mission where vtol tech was acquired, i did this morning anyway)
is that each individual body, can have (ethetically) specifically designed propulsion(componants), what this bug indicates?
and not just the different weight classes?

actually that bug has been an ongoing one from 1999 to present day. ;D
dunno if anyone bothered to fix it...
dunno if anyone bothered to fix it...
"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.

I think those are gone too. Which is a shame, because for some reason I really like New Paradigm bodies for VTOL.

its not that it doesnt have vtol... it just dont have the gfx for it...or the file is named wrong..or ?? dunno... no one has bothered to fix it... as far as i can remember.

Re: scorpion has invisable(no) vtol componant
I think something else is causing this. I once made a mod in which i replaced the scorpion body with my own (see avatar). And when i loaded it, only the heavy tracks prop was working and there were almost no weapons that displayed correctly. I thought at the time that it had something to do with intersecting body and muzzle or body and propulsions objects. I never tried to fix it though.

you mean the med bodies dont share the same vtol componant?lav_coyote25 wrote: its not that it doesnt have vtol... it just dont have the gfx for it...or the file is named wrong..or ?? dunno... no one has bothered to fix it... as far as i can remember.
they all look the same.
if you put a unit on a cliff, and have it fire it a unit at the bottom of said cliff, the muzzle/barrel goes clean through the body its attached to anyway.Hatsjoe wrote: I thought at the time that it had something to do with intersecting body and muzzle or body and propulsions objects. or do you mean something else that i dont understand?

Re: scorpion has invisable(no) vtol componant
I know, what i wanted to say is that by just using another pie file, a lot of other files don't display correctly. I hadn't changed any other parameters like filenames or anything else. therefore, i concluded that there was a problem with the body piefile.psychopompos wrote: if you put a unit on a cliff, and have it fire it a unit at the bottom of said cliff, the muzzle/barrel goes clean through the body its attached to anyway.
