Warzone 2100 Forums

Well, it is Christmas and I am sure some of you noticed the absence of Warzone 2100 2.1 under your trees. It is with regret I announce that 2.1 has been delayed a few weeks. This is so that we can test it extensively so that we can be sure it works as expected.

Expect some beta builds and release candidates in the next few months.

I don't mind the delay of wz2100 2.1 if it's to improve the quality.
After all it's pretty sad to play a bugged game, it ruins the initial impression.

However I will wait for the beta/RC anyway so I can test it and report bugs if I stumble on them.

I'm sure well all look forward 2.1  , but if delay of release can make it better ,  there's no prob to wait  some week anymore 

I read devurandom interview  , and there are lot of nice update  which are surely hard to etablish  , good luck 

I hope 2.1 will fix those annoying multiplayer bugs, i cant play with those... Doesnt matter how long it will take. Good luck everyone, keep up the great job. 

I'm just glad to see that things are progressing so well and so quickly, so a delay for 2.1 for a little while is no great disadvantage.

First quarter, meaning first 3 months of 2008.
So it can be delayed till almost april.

Eagerly anticipating Version 2.1.  What may we expect in it?

you have to build the actual source code yourself to do so, the so-called "daily trunk" in the downloads section. 

Is there a list of suspected bugs that you need help testing and if so, where is such a list.

We have a list on the wiki: Audit tasks
Especially the last item, All bugs planned for 2.1 might be interesting, as it is a query on the Gna tracker.

Is it  April yet ?

Bugs or not, I'll be happy to d/l and install the latest version and keep track of and submit any and all bug reports I find!
