Hey Guys! I am putting a Youtube channel together to attract more people to the community. New players are a huge part of growing the community, so I am making several videos to help them out! New Player Tips Video
Re: New Player Tips Video
It looks like if there is no help needed. You will get anything instantly by starting with 50 oil derricks in your base connected to as many power plants as needed to support them.
Re: New Player Tips Video
Excellent video, thanks! I think you have scavs on so this type of research / truck production heavy build would work I guess - but even then (and especially with no scavs) you can be vulnerable to rush type attacks if you don't have a way to defend at like the 3(?) minute mark. I usually try to dedicate a factory to mg tank production asap - these can protect against early truck rush and attacks. As a bonus once you get a few of them up you can send them to attack your opponent who is maybe not ready, you can really wreak havok with his building and trucks by doing this!
Plus you will get the joy of a fast paced match where you can open up and enjoy many different weapons and researches Just like a one day cricket match compared to a boring old testthemac wrote:It looks like if there is no help needed. The best tip for new players is to solve the campaignKillerChinchilla69 wrote:Hey Guys! I am putting a Youtube channel together to attract more people to the community. In case the WZ-game ends in a draw , the game winner will be determined by penalty shoot-out.

Re: New Player Tips Video
Hey guys, thanks for the kind words!
The video is long and covers a lot of topics, I am planning on making several shorter videos, each with a specific topic. I cover a lot of these in the long video, but i think it would be good to break them up so i could provide examples, more context, etc.I would like to keep each video under 5 minutes, so it will be concise and keep new players attention.
So far I am thinking:
Extremely simple overview of game - campaign, skirmish, multiplayer
Basic controls and key bindings
Overview of designing units - bodies, propulsion, weapons
Types of Turrets - trucks, sensors, cb etc
Types of weapons - strengths and weaknesses, mixing weapons
Base building/build orders
Factory production
Research - might wanna break this one into several vids
tank movement/fights
Artillery
Vtols
Repair facilities
How to play online - logistics - IRC, wzblue, how to host games, set teams, ready up, etc
How to play online - team play - play as team, listen to others, responsible for your enemy player, don't let them gang up on team mate etc.
Feel free to suggest ideas for videos

Haha yeah a lot of players like to start with full bases so they never learn good build orders.themac wrote:It looks like if there is no help needed. You will get anything instantly by starting with 50 oil derricks in your base connected to as many power plants as needed to support them.
Yup good point, I like to go for fast economy over tanks early, so it is important to note that you can easily lose to a rush. I just tried to teach a simple beginners build order.Rommel wrote:Excellent video, thanks!
