it would be fun to introduce a bunch of "mutators" that change the game slightly but can be mixed and matched.
example of mutators:
-faster and cheaper research
-no truck system(C&C style of building expanding your base by building HQs)
-Survival(tanks are spawned in a particular spawn point specified by the mapper,getting stronger with time. people can either play this as a co-op or still play against each other with the tanks
-HQ game (HQ is pre-built and only 1 hq can be built..if the hq is destroyed that player loses)
etc etc...
