Is there any way to get a visual picture of what the range of a weapon or of a sensor is?

Shift + F12, shows their ranges.

Need to select something to see it's range, fire balls indicate fire range, white balls for Sensor range.
As you can see here, it's possible to play with that mode on, but it gets hard to see all of your units.

Nice fire trail effect on the Weapon range graphics.
