Hey guys, how about this one?
The shape that has the style of flash of lighting stands for W, Z, 2, 1 and the circle stands for 0, 0.
You still use the terrain or urban texture for the circle and the lightning effect of the original wz icon for the flash

Reminds me a bit to the winamp icon.

Hey, I have a few of those on my car!

Slightly rotated, but that was my first and immediate association.

LOL
Warzone Opel... ;)

For those who don't know the car-manufacturer: http://opel.de/

EDIT: The lol was not for your logo, of course... That one's ok, even though I think all those hidden letters might be a bit much for the reader/watcher.

yes, it looks like the winamp icon. but really does not have any relation to that.

there is a little difference between the two logo: there is maybe a letter S in the OPEL one and I didn't see anything like the letter Z or number 2 but there must be the W, Z, 2, 1, 0, 0 in the one of mine.

what is schombert.net?is it the author of 2.0.2 or 2.0.3's music?

btw the url for gamespy is wrong, since you changed icon to gamespy's.Also I think wz2100.net deserves a place in this messy bmp too...

Adding new content will cause a damage to background.... if to add something new so its better to remake everything

I would recommend to remove or replace it with something different.

Well replace the warzone2100.com thing then, since that one has gone out of existence anyhow.

And I really think we don't need to mention eidos twice (once the games department and once the interactive thingy), if we should at all mention it, since they don't contribute to WZ anymore (anyway they were the publisher not the producer so besides distribution they probably did near to nothing on WZ).

Further the pumkin link is dead (well the domainname exists, but is owned by a nasty reselling company), so you'd better remove that.

There is too much deprecated in there. And it looks a bit ugly *g*

Maybe replace it with a little credits page?
Where the developers and contributers are listed?

although i also think the picture looks messy with all the companies and websites logo's on it, i do like the small visual treat right before the game shuts down. it doesn't always have to be a credits kinda thing. Maybe just showing the WZ loge for a few seconds and than slowly fading out would do.

Well except for the fading out part, that would most certainly be non-portable code. In other words that would require a piece of code for X (GNU/Linux's windowsystem), M$W and OSX.

Than how do you display the current bitmap? Just replace the old one with the new not so messy one.  Sometimes simple can be beautiful if done correctly.
