I voted for 4 as well, getting roughly 30-50 fps but I get similar results for the third build as well.
The first build is the worst on my machine, I get something like 5 fps - and it lags badly.

Testing compiler switches again, can people get http://buildbot.wz2100.net/files/3.1/wi ... 4e8a6f.exe or newer, and do some tests on these ?

Tested again 2 builds on my system on map 10c-NTW_FPStest.wz

minimum fps: 3.1.0old: 5fps, build 8 sep: 10fps
flamers view: 3.1.0old: 6-7fps, build 8 sep: 10-11fps
bunkers view: 3.1.0old: 6-7fps, build 8 sep: 11-13fps
artillery tanks view: 3.1.0old: 6-7fps, build 8 sep: 13-16fps
view of empty corner of map: 3.1.0old:6-7fps, build 8 sep: 20-40fps

(textures: 2048, resolution: 1280x720. shaders:off, fsaa: off, vsync:off, PC win7, i5 3570, geforce gts 450)

Tested this with the starting view of the downed transport in Goth Zagog-Thou's CAM4, which is constantly laggy using the "official" build.

Official Warzone 3.1.0: ~12 FPS
warzone2100_portableT1.exe: ~10 FPS
warzone2100_portableT2.exe: ~60 FPS
warzone2100_portableT3.exe: ~55 FPS
warzone2100_portableT4.exe: ~55 FPS
warzone2100-3.1git-20130701-170141-34e8a6f.exe: ~50 FPS

Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, VSync off, shaders off, FSAA off, texture size 2048.
Hardware: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+, ATI Radeon HD 4350, 4 GB of RAM, Windows 7 x64.

The new build runs really well. Cam 4, which lags terribly on stock 3.1, runs acceptably with the new compile. Droid responses are right where they should be (turret spin, etc).
