Yes, as long as he recompiled the map(s) with a different name first. It may seem strange but not everyone wants to play unlimited power NTW.

Well, if infinite power mods don't suit you, then would modifying rules.js so that it gives each player, say, 20 power per second, or 100 power per second, work?

Alright, let's see, prices for oil derricks making it possible to completely screw yourself for power easier, breaking tradition with 1999, resetting a load of gameplay strategy which will piss off all the players? Mods just to be suited for NTW? I won't delve into the details. I'll just provide this and that'll be the end of it.

they are all high oil by design

Nope again. From the start you have to manage your oil, even with 40 derricks you can still run out - remember you are constantly building defenses and output units constantly from 5 factories (cyborgs as well so 10). There is a hell of a lot of management involved if you want to be competitive.

The reason why I ask this (and the reason why I made that
infinite power mod earlier) is because, in every NTW-styled map that I've seen, players don't have to explore the map for oil, because all of it is located inside the players' bases. Since nearly every non-NTW map has some oil outside of bases (to discourage turtling), I figured that giving players a lot of free oil each second would act as a substitute for the 20 or so oils in each player's base on a NTW map.
