Those are some awesome cliffs, just like in the roadrunner cartoons :D
Try them with my new rocky texture underneath ;)

IMO the texture is too big, I'll make a smaller one.
IMHO it is to early to talk about size.

Btw felipe, you're having the border cutoff problem with the road tiles.
Try these instead ;)
I have a .blend file that autogenerates extended borders on tiles, so I don't have to do them during the editing stage.

Thx Jorzi, I'll replace those textures.

I'm modifying the 128x128 px textures and using "convert" to convert them to 64 32 16.
Buth when zooming the closer ones look like the original arizona texture (unlike the other in the screenshot)
.... ehhmm why ? :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

uh.. as long as you have the proper folders with all texture sizes, it should work....
Have you double-checked that every folder has all of the textures?
Edit: btw, can you upload your cliffs?

.

Really neat...and inspiring. :) Can't help but think of a type machinima with this style - one of humor, an uncommon sensibility in a genre focused on war making but, nontheless, rich in possibilities. Probably too early, but am already wondering how cyborgs will fare cartooned. With Borgs you could personify the play experience (or machinima). Something like what was tossed around a few years back called "Borg Wars" - 'cept now, toon style. Just riffing on some attractive possibilities. :hmm:

Jorzi:
I created a github repository here: https://github.com/epilef/mod_cartoon and I'm committing my changes.
If you already have an account on github tell me, otherwise if you create a free one I'll add you as collaborator, this way you can commit directly.

others:
If you go to the page above, click on the zip icon (on the left) you get the entire archive zipped.
Rename to mod_cartoon.wz and use it as usual.

make simple test:
Show some one who not playing warzone that images and ask what is this. If more then half can guess it, you doing that right.

IMHO cartoon style: Minimal details, but recognizable item.

@felipe: I have a gitorious, bitbucket and sourceforge account, but unfortunately not a github one :P
@Duha: I agree that everything should be easily recognizable, although individual textures might not always make sense to people.

A bit more progress:

Jorzi: keep on the good work :D
You have to paint manually or blender can do that "automatically" ?
I think we absolutely need a cactus !!! :)

I'm making some tests to find a way to make arizona already made maps look good.
I prefer the cliffs without the "lines" textures.

One problem I have is that mapmakers use the 63...70 tile (the big crater) the wrong way.
Lot of them use, for ex. tile 63 4 times turning each time 90 deg ...

But I'll keep on experimenting.
Don't look at those roofs, It's only a wrong test XD
