Unfortunately, this strange phenomenon only occurs in about half of the planet. The regions of earth that are exposed to sunlight roast and quickly become dry, barren deserts. Those that no longer enjoy sunlight, however, become icy and frigid.

<offtopic> I don't really "hate" low oil, it's just a bit too much micro for my tastes. I don't click fast compared to others to begin with (part of it being my laziness seeping into my gameplay), and the oil snagging rushes are just annoying to me. I do, however, like some low oil maps.</offtopic>
