Re: Help with WZ timeline & trivia
Ooh, there's some civilian prisoners in Beta cam - can you let me know what colour their units are on the map? Post details over here if possible: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9476

Re: Help with WZ timeline & trivia
Progress report...
Ok, so the digging continues... I completed the re-watch & transcription of all cam2 videos yesterday, virtually nothing new was revealed about the WZ timeline or history! But, at least they are now all transcribed!
I decided last night to start documenting the timeline in a big HTML table, the results of which can be seen here:
https://warzone.atlassian.net/wiki/disp ... t+timeline
This isn't finished yet - I still have to watch/transcribe all the cam3 videos. So far, that timeline table contains info from:
* Game booklet (which I have some issues with)
* Cam 1 & Cam 2 videos
* One specific video from Cam 3: cam3abf (which I have huge issues with)
* All captions (text overlays) - the .txt and .txa files from "sequenceaudio" folder
* Deliverance comic - contains just one date
I've spent about 20 hours googling over the past few weeks as well, searching for anything to do with warzone timeline, but didn't find anything new. I've unearthed some very unusual pics of Warzone CDs, boxes, etc., though, which I'll be creating a new gallery for on the wiki next week sometime.
Anyway, back to the timeline... Assuming little more information comes from the cam3 videos, what's in the timeline table must be pretty much everything now. I have summarised timeline issues below.
Issue 1: Date on which Synaptic Link Research started
cam3abf.ogg gets the date completely wrong (2080) for start of synaptic link research. Why is this date wrong? As stated previously, there are other dates linked to it (+5 years to complete the research, then +3 years before military funding cut) that would result in Dr. Reed's funding getting cut *after* the Collapse.
I've chosen to go with the game booklet which says 2075. This then pulls all the other cam3abf dates in to valid timescales.
Issue 2: Date on which NASDA formed
cam22fmv.txt states NASDA formed in 2076, whereas the game booklet states NASDA formed in 2080 (four years later).
I'm undecided about which of these dates is best. It comes down to a question of whether NASDA should be formed before or after the wars in China?
Issue 3: Date for on which construction of the Satellite Defence System (SDS) starts
cam22fmv.txt states the construction starts in 2081. The game booklet states construction starts in 2080.
Again, I'm not sure which to go with. 2080 seems to be more realistic, as it would give 2 years for the completion of the satellite array (it is completed in 2082).
To-Do list...
* Decide when NASDA formed -- I need help with this
* Decide when SDS construction begins -- I need help with this
It would be nice to decide what month on which Synaptic Link research begins, as that will allow linked dates to be more accurately defined.

Re: Help with WZ timeline & trivia
About when NASDA was formed, maybe around 2070, because it was made for protecting the earth (or just US?).
Btw, what did NASDA mean?

Re: Help with WZ timeline & trivia
NASDA = North American Strategic Defence Agency, and it was set up to protect North America from enemy nukes.

Then if it would be to protect North America from enemy nukes, it would had been made 10-30 years before The collapse.
