Re: Low oil or high oil?
It depends on the situation.Low oil or high oil?
If you're going just for fun, i recommend those old-school NTW very high-power open flat maps (or Squared, whatever is
If you're going just for strategy and tactics and learning experience, it's recommended low or medium oiled maps with a great variety of terrain and textures + stricly passages (LittleEgypt, Basingstoke, StartUp, Rush)
I wont vote for this thread, just my thoughts

lol impersonators, never have i had that issue.... jks i have, i don't get why they would, why not make a name for yourself? also i prefer balanced middle maps, low maps tend to sway quickly on how much you have, while high oil is just click click click.... no stratagy because everything is expendable

Re: Low oil or high oil?
This poll is only a survey of a player's preference of map type. This isn't a poll to see which one's better. So all you have to do is just vote for which sort of map you enjoy playing. If your answer is "both", then you can abstain from voting.Black Project wrote:I wont vote for this thread, just my thoughts![]()

Depends if a player is a newbie that expends everything no matter if it's low oil or a good one that can manage oil well and attack the enemy's chokepoints agressivelyRoux Le Corps wrote:low maps tend to sway quickly on how much you have
Yeah, that's why people play these kind of map for one objective: just for funRoux Le Corps wrote: while high oil is just click click click.... no stratagy because everything is expendable

Re: Low oil or high oil?
I prefer low oil, but I am better at high oil, due to starting out online on Teamwar and NTW and such maps in 2003.
High oil is fun for a while but low oil is where the real game is at IMO also the way the game was ment to be played.
Just take a look at any of the maps designed by Pumpkin Studios in 1999, and those are some of the most fun maps in the game.
But that is not to say that you cant have a good high oil map, just its harder to balance it gameplay wise.
Low oil makes you plan ahead and make you guess/know what your enemy is researching/doing/making, as you cannont correct mistakes as easily, like in high oil. (research wise)
