Just re-iterating after playing some of the campaign: Units seem to randomly re-set to "Do or Die", attached artillery frequently detaches from the commander (I suspect these are related), I've looked for a pattern to it, but I can't find one.

There is a small bug in Warzone that is still present in this release (I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but it might have been). Sometimes, flamers will miss their target but the flame keeps on travelling for a very long way. I think it only happens if a flamer is firing up towards a higher target and misses. The flame just keeps going until the edge of the map it seems. I haven't seen it 'hit' something very far away yet, like maybe if there was a mountain behind what it was shooting at and the flamer missed, it could hit stuff up there. A minor bug though. Sorry, I can't put up a screenshot of this (I do have a couple), because I have to go the library computers for the internet...

Are you sure this is in the newest 2.3 beta 9? I think the bug was fixed since then...

I'm pretty sure it's 2.3 beta 9... I'll take a look when I get home and upload a screenshot for you tomorrow if it is beta 9.

And another bug? Mini-pod rockets do a similar thing, if they miss they go far beyond their range, even sometimes through walls/hardpoints? For example, starting with advanced bases, mini-pod rockets will be fired at your wall and go straight through, hitting base structures out of their range. Far enough, if the rocket misses and carries on and hits the first thing it comes to, but going through walls and hardpoints is weird. Lancers/tank killer/scourge/cannons don't seem to do this? Also, sometimes morter/howitzer/artillary missle shots go through the terrain. Collision detection issue? Again, I will have to check that this is beta 9 but I'm pretty sure it is. Minor bugs in the end though.

BTW, fantastic job you've done with this game guys! Hard work much appreciated :)

I was playing the campaign in Beta 9, i was using hardcore campaign (one of the awesomest mods EVER!) and during the second battle with the new paradigm, my commander went from elite to green i have NO idea how, and all the other units that were under its command started going back to base, and ignoring my orders, causing me to lose all of my units and the battle :gonk: it would be VERY helpful if someone could fix this problem! it's only happened once, and I'm not sure if it was the mod or beta 9, but I'd be very appreciative if someone could help :)

and unfortunately, i don't have a savegame at the time, i was too excited to get to campaign 2 :P
we've made contact with a highly pathetic enemy force, their primary weapon is the slingshot... they call themselves the "old paradigm"

Well, I just compiled the beta and gave it a try, skirmish.

System: Ubuntu 9.10, 32 Bit, ATI 3200 mobility

* SOUND: After some time the Sound begins to scramble, this even stops sometimes and everything seems to be in order again, but after some time the noise starts again. Guess its pulseaudio related, since my pulseaudio hung up sometimes with wz 2.2 some time ago.

* UI: Sometimes some mouse clicks were lost, mostly when I tried to chose a tech for researching. I then had to click it another time.

* STABILITY: just one glitch: When I try to quit the software, the "pumpkin screen" apperas and there I am stuck. :( A "kill -9" via ssh crashes xorg, just some blinking colored pixel. I have to "reboot" then.

* Gameplay: I dont know if this is new to 2.3, but the scheduler for the VTOL pads is very inefficient. Damaged and unarmed VTOLs are landing nearby, though there are free pads around. Waiting VTOLs arent queued for later maintainance, they would wait forever for rearming.

* Trucks: The green "construction yard" as a placeholder for building orders is great, but missing some functionality: You cant order additional trucks to the green placeholder, like you can after the construction process has started (Bug or feature?). Another strange behavior is that you cant place a construction at the location your truck is standing on. It would be much better if the truck move away to clear his own construction yard.

I don't own one personally but my girlfriend has one. She's not keen on letting me use it though - Since I dropped my own and broke it...

Sorry Zarel, I downloaded the release and failed to install it. Sorry for wasting your time. Now I'm up to date on beta 9 ;)

Alright, I was playing the Alpha campaign in the Beta 9 version and I found a minor bug. I was able to build the 3rd stage factory module without having researched or even discovered the tech for it.

rofl xD
I had the same "problem" when I first played campaign. I waited to research 3rd module. But it is intended to be like that.

I was planning on waiting as well, since there's no point in making a 3rd stage factory if you have no heavy chassis. But why would that be intended?

Well, you have the tech to make one, why not make another one using same tech.

In addition to ability to produce bigger bodies, Factory module also increases production speed and HP.
