Maybe we can come up with some concept that:
a) Oil producing bacteria went in to mass production
b) To avoid bad smells on surface, biomass with bacteria pumped under ground to replenish empty oil reserves
c) Years later the bacteria had done it's job and the old reserves contain oil once more
I still like Rman's idea about the renewable energy "third industrial revolution" and think that should play a part in many of the missions. Will need to explain why renewable energy isn't used in later missions and the other cams though...
How long does a wind farm or solar farm take to build? Maybe it's just quicker and easier to make derricks = better in warzones?

In the past I was told my posts were too long. So I try to make my posts as short as I can. In that process I compress ideas a lot.... perhaps too much. I'll try to find a sweet spot that is not too short or too long when it comes to explaining ideas that could be unfamiliar to some members.Giani wrote:.....

@Rman I think your use of the word "canon" will confuse a lot of people, especially non-english speakers who are trying to work out what cannons have to do with the price of bacon.

I plan to begin work on the cam 0 maps today. Cam 4 is in a state where the current release needs several weeks of testing (I need more feedback!), so I can get going on this.
A hybrid of Urban and Rockies for tileset would be appropriate here. In order to ensure that what happened in Cam 4 does NOT happen here, I plan to do all work using the 3.2 branch as a base.
One question: does 3.2 support using all tilesets at once yet? And, what assets are going to be used? Cam 4 (some) and USM for sure, what about NTW? AND ... is NRS making an appearance as well?

My main concern is that new campaigns most probably will turn "too advanced" comparing to current ones (where most of missions has the same basic scenario, where biggest exceptions are those with lassat, rescuing team Alpha remains and maybe civilians rescuing). And it would be hard to "jazz them up" without breaking their plot (but improved details like nice texture for that dam in Beta campaign would be nice).

In terms of the JS API there's a herd of new features in the master branch that will be released when 3.2 becomes available, so I also call it 3.2 branch.
