De-bounce the minimap camera moves

Polls are worthless.
We just need patches, and people willing to try them.

No matter what happens, someone always will complain, and people always want a option to turn it on/off.
So fix the GUI to allow this. :)

vexed, in this case I don't think that there should be an option, just choose one way and make it consistent. ;-)

While the bounce is aesthetically pleasing, it's a PITA from a usability perspective -- you jump to a map location and then have to wait for the bounce to stop before you can properly select anything.

Yep, such effects are nice for things like videos, but not for real UI. ;-)

After hearing you guys out, I still feel like it sits in well the UI. Or I've got it wrong just like the original designers of the game, who came up with a bad way of making a "real UI".

I agree that the bounce effect fits with the current UI but when you compare WZ to other RTS.. AFAIK no other RTS has the same effect for the reasons already stated above.

A bit off-topic; I'd vote for a complete UI overhaul :P
